How Much Does It Cost to Rent a Photography Studio in Orlando?
Sydney Morman ·

If you have been pricing out studio time around Orlando, you have probably noticed the answer is usually a vague "it depends." So let us be straight with you. Here is what it actually costs to rent a photography studio, using our own rates as a real example.
Our hourly rates
We keep it simple: one flat rate per room, by the hour, with a friendlier rate on weekdays since weekends fill up first.
| Room | Weekday / hr | Weekend / hr |
|---|---|---|
| Studio A (neutral room) | $75 | $90 |
| Studio B (styled set) | $100 | $120 |
| Both studios | $150 | $180 |
There is a one hour minimum, and you book exactly the time you need. No padded packages.
Half days and full days cost less per hour
The longer you book, the less each hour costs. A half day is four hours at 20% off the hourly rate, and a full day is eight hours at 40% off. So a longer shoot is a real saving, not just more time.
A few real examples on a weekday:
- A two hour portrait session in Studio A: $150
- A half day in Studio A (4 hours): $240, which works out to $60 an hour
- A half day in Studio B's styled set: $320
- A full day across both rooms (8 hours): $720, or $90 an hour for the whole floor
What is included
The rate is the room, and the room comes ready to shoot. That means the natural light, the current styled set in Studio B, backdrops, and free parking right out front. No surprise equipment fees, and no cleaning fee as long as you leave it as you found it. You bring your camera and your people.
How to keep the cost down
- Shoot on a weekday if you can. Weekday rates are lower, and the calendar is more open.
- Book the block you actually need. If you are shooting for more than three hours, a half day is usually cheaper than stacking hourly.
- Join as a member if you shoot often. Membership is $19 a month and takes 20% off every booking, on top of the half and full day discounts. If you rent even once a month, it pays for itself.
